Portello is a completely new and unique way of updating your web site. Portello is a plug-in to Internet Explorer that puts your page into an editable mode. It's not just the easiest way of updating your page, but also the fastest. A misspelled word is corrected faster than a Ferrari accelerates from zero to 65 mph!
Press the button and your web page as you see it becomes editable, exactly as in any word processing document. Press another button and your changes will be saved instantly to the web server.
You can cut, paste, create links and in other ways edit your web page. You can add, rescale and compress new or old pictures. You can add any downloadable file, PDF documents, exe's, etc. Copy files and folders between your local drive and the web site like you would with any FTP client. Create new pages from scratch or copy an existing page and use it as a template.
Portello is fast, easy to use and intuitive. No experience whatsoever from web editing is needed. Since Portello is a plug-in to Internet Explorer, you do not have to keep track of yet another program. Portello is solely client-based and can therefore be used with any web hotel, no matter what WebServer the web hotel uses. Unlike common CMS tools, you do not have to prepare your homepage to be used with Portello. Portello does not add any specific code and your page remains editable with other tools; nor does Portello require a database or any other pre-installed software.
